Overnight Stay

Our family used the voucher we had for a free overnight stay at the Courtyard By Marriott in Elmhurst. We had hot dogs and Italian beefs for lunch at Portillo's in Elmhurst before we went over to the hotel to check-in. We requested a room on the upper floors facing west above Salt Creek. There was hardly anybody in the hotel. Once we checked in and got unpacked we went downstairs to the hot tub and pool. We spent some time in the hot tub and swam while the boys used the exercise room to get a good workout. Then they played in the pool for over two hours while I read. We had the pool, hot tub and workout room all to ourselves. After swimming I went to Nancy's Pizza in Elmhurst and picked up a large stuffed deep dish pizza. It's been a long time since we had Nancy's Pizza. In my opinion it's almost as good as Giordano's. We watched "Die Hard 3" on cable while we enjoyed our pizza. We went to sleep about 10:30 p.m. The boys stayed up reading and surfing the internet until about 12:00 p.m. It was a very relaxing evening.
