Shedd Aquarium

We went to the screening of the WTTW special - "Swimming With The Sharks with Anna Davlantes." Somehow I was invited and allowed to bring a guest - my wife. We got there right at 6:00 p.m. We went downstairs to the Wild Reef area where they had an open bar and hors d' oeuvres. Very nice. We got to drink while looking at the sharks in the wild reef exhibit. We got a behind the scenes tour by Lise Christopher the Collections Manager of Shedd Aquarium. She showed us where they feed and take care of the sharks. It was pretty cool seeing a lot of the behind the scenes stuff shown in the special. We met some of the other people from Shedd Aquarium. Then we went to an auditorium where Anna Davlantes talked about the show. We watched some of the highlights and then there was a question and answer period. We saw Warner Saunders from Channel 5 and Rick Pearson from the Chicago Tribune. There were a lot of executives there from WTTW and the Shedd Aquarium. It was very educational and I'm glad we went.
