: ) This funny, in a strange serendipity kind of funny.
Just this morning driving back from town, a memory from over 30 years ago came and played around in my mind for a long while.
My young husband & I were going somewhere in our car with his parents riding along with us.
He was driving, with his Dad sitting beside him, while his Mom & I were riding in the backseat.
Hubby likes to drive fast and the fact that we were all with him, didn't slow him down one bit.
As we sped along, with beautiful scenery all around us, I tried to soak it in as much as possible but couldn't because we were simply going too fast.
Finally, I'd had enough and told hubby
"Ralph, you're driving too fast, I CAN'T SEE WHAT I'M LOOKING AT!"
My MotherinLaw burst out laughing and agreed with me. She just couldn't get over how funny that was and how true too.
She kept repeating it the rest of the day, chuckling every time.
In all the years we were together before her death, that was the ONLY time I ever made her laugh or she agreed with me on anything! : )
