Dark Blue

I watched the DVD "Dark Blue" with Kurt Russell. It was a cop movie that takes place in Los Angeles right around the time of the Rodney King beating. It had a good ending. Makes you wonder about the large city police departments and all the politics and corruption.

Synopsis

When the LAPD’s elite Special Investigations Squad (SIS) is assigned a high-profile quadruple homicide, veteran detective Eldon Perry (Kurt Russell) takes the case. Known for his tough street tactics and a fiery temper, Eldon tutors rookie Bobby Keough (Scott Speedman) in the grim realities of police intimidation and corruption. While navigating the tumultuous neighborhoods of South Central Los Angeles, Perry and Keough must track down the cold-blooded killers as well as face their own demons – demons that prove more ruthless than the criminals they pursue.
